Holycross, the incoming chair said “I am excited to have the opportunity to lead this dynamic association in America’s fastest growing captive domicile.” Continuing, “During the year I expect the Board will concentrate on driving growth, in conjunction with NCDOI, to the state. It’s a great place to do business.”
In commenting on the meeting association President & CEO Tom Adams told us, “This is a bitter sweet day. We are losing three great Board members. Our Chair Lea Riddle (McGriff), Secretary, Mickey Payseur (Butler & Stowe) and Wesley Deaton (Deaton Law Firm) are all leaving the Board. Trust me, they will be missed.” About Lea Riddle, “I can’t let Lea Riddle get away without telling you how much he has meant to the association. He has been there for us during the Covid crisis and provided magnificent leadership. Thank you, Lea.” Adams said.
Elected to follow Riddle, Payseur and Deaton were David Littlehale (SRS), Rosa Garcia (Management Services International) and Nate Reznicek (International-Re). Members of the NCCIA Board serve for one, three year, term. Holycross told the Newsletter, “This is an outstanding group of new Board members who, while they have big shoes to fill, are up to the task. I welcome them to the Board.”
In other Board action the Annual Financial Report was received. Outgoing Treasurer Holycross reported that while the association took a hit due to having to cancel it’s 2020 Annual Conference the Association has weathered the national crisis and “has the ability to move forward.”
