The NCCIA is seeking proposals for presentations for its 2023 NCCIA Conference – Elevate; Reaching New Heights – which will be held at the Marriott Renaissance Hotel in downtown Asheville, North Carolina.

Those individuals who would like to make a panel presentation at the conference are invited to return a Request for Presentation (RFP) for consideration by the Conference Planning Committee, Chaired by Susan Euteneuer of Oxford Risk Management Group.

Conference dates: May 7 – 10, 2023

Location: The Marriott Renaissance Hotel, Asheville, North Carolina

Safe conference: As the impact of the pandemic continues to evolve, we will be working with the Renaissance to make sure that necessary safety protocols related to group events, prescribed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the North Carolina Department of Health & Human Services are implemented and followed. Additional information related to safety measures will be shared in the coming months.

Helpful guidance for submissions:

The NCCIA is looking for creative and stimulating sessions that provide relevant and germane ideas significant to today’s captive insurance industry as well as those that consider the future of the captive industry.

The Committee, in particular, are looking for sessions that offer case studies that lead to solutions to problems in the captive management process.

Submissions should include the following:

  • Concise and descriptive title
  • Summary of pertinent and unique content (no more than 100 words)
  • List of proposed panelists. (Panels should include three speakers Preferably from multiple companies with a captive owner included on the panel.) And we encourage submissions to include panels that are diverse in experience, gender, race and/or ethnicity, where possible.
  • “The committee will give greater weight to submissions which encompass the following topics: Drug and Alcohol Programs, Parametrics, Risk Management, Policy Development, Loss Control, Covid Related Topics Tax Developments, Cyber Security Issues, Director & Officers and Other Hard Market Challenges, Recession Related Developments, Evolution of ESG, Best Practices in Claims Handling, The Rise of Protected Cell Captives, Pros and Cons of RRG’s. The Conference Planning Committee looks forward to receiving your submission.”
